Whew! It's Friday!

Let me tell you it's been a whirlwind since last Saturday night for us. It's been go, go go with a mini makeover weekend, new products, lovely customers coming in dropping off sweets and saying hello!

It's been fabulous! Thank you, thank you, thank you! We love it all.

Well here it is girls! We managed to get the whole store cleared out, painted and put back together over the weekend!

After my recent trip to NYC, I came back super inspired. I love doing things a little differently and wanted to think of something original for Blush. I'm not sure how it all happened but I fell in love with the idea of using Hotel luggage carts to hang the Blush merchandise on. From there.... the ideas just kept coming and well.... we just had to roll with it!

I want to thank my Blush team for such a great job! Ali and Lee for taking care of Blush while we prepared all the goodness! Kayla... the display queen.... never ending talent!

Sean... my sweetie and very handy man! For everything we girls would have wired and hot glued together.... he actually used tools and made it look even better!

Of course, a big thanks to the Blush customers....who inspire me every single day to make Blush a lovely place to be and shop! Thank you!

A bit of our inspiration for our makeover!

If you girls like us on Facebook or twitter you already know... we've recently tweeted that we are doing a little mini makeover at the shop! We thought we better fill in our blog readers and give you a little eye candy! A few pictures of what is inspiring us right now!

Blush is always going to be a soft pretty pale pink... that won't ever change...it's our signature look...plus we love it! You know how you look in your closet and think... I just need a little freshening up... or I need a new haircut, fabulous new shoes...something to spruce up your look? Well that's exactly our plan.

An inspiring trip to NYC made my mind up... it was time for a wee change!

I'm sure you've noticed that colour blocked pieces have started popping up everywhere! I love seeing people wearing & experimenting with colour in their wardrobes, and showing their style.

As the spring pieces arrive at the shop... there is lots of colour.... coral, navy, red, pastels... and of course neutrals... oat, grey and black.

We have received a shipment of LINE sweaters and they are gorgeous! Muted shades, melange and soft stripes so easy to mix into your wardrobe.

One of our favourites is this colour block knit! It is perfect paired back to a slim pant or denim. We love that hit of vibrant coral and indigo combo... blocked with a neutral oat to keep it soft.

The theme today - every girl can be a fashion girl!

We picked some of our favorite style bloggers and tried to recreate the look with things we have in the shop...I think we did pretty good, don't you?

We love the comfort and effortless style from outfit number one. Your boyfriend jeans will look great with a coloured sweater layered over a basic tee. Add a pair of flats and our bold red clutch to finish off the look.

Next up, we chose a preppy ensemble...hello red pants! These pants will get you through the Spring and Summer, they go great with striped tees and sheer blouses.

Finally, we wanted to show you a way to wear the leather skirt. This skirt looks great mixed with prints or basics....add that leopard bag or belt in for an extra punch.

Oh, girls,

Sometimes the simplest detail is all it takes to change up your look! Yesterday I was determined to get inspired; although we're all excited for Spring colours, new silhouettes and flowy fabrics, we still have to figure out what were going to wear until it all arrives.

After many hours on my usual blogs I came across some style inspiration - adding a belt over a shorter knit.

Now adding a belt to tops, tunics and dresses is certainly NOT new to us. However, the way that this belt sits a little lower on the waist gives it a little extra something.

The maxi skirt can sometimes be a difficult one to pair the right top with, you don't want to lose your entire shape...another reason why adding this belt rocks!

Lastly, don't forget to layer...by adding a lighter blouse underneath the knit it helps break up the darkness,

adding great contrast! I added the picture/outfit that originally inspired me underneath. xo

Well girls....it's Friday! Whew! I love this time of year for starting fresh... getting organized, setting new goals, and well.... getting inspired!

Of course after the hustle and bustle and excitement over the holidays... I'm finding I need a little kick in the pants to get going again.

First off.. I start my morning off in my little sunny nook. It's that one space in the house.. I love to relax, get creative, and enjoy the sunshine. I always think if that space is inviting and inspiring...it gets me motivated.

Do you have a room or spot in your place you love to relax in, or get inspired by?

In my spare time.... I've been organizing my out of control crazy collection of ribbons, and paper, magazines etc! I must say it feels amazing to get things back in order.

A brand new year... always brings lots of fun exciting things for the upcoming year!

I don't know about you girls... but I love to start the new year off with a clean house, clean store, purged closets,fresh virgo style lists... and a whole slew of new ideas!

With the holidays over...it was time to take down the Christmas window. Time for a clean up and a new window display. When I say clean up.... we thought wouldn't it be great if you could clean up with a pretty pink vacuum? We think so! With a click of glitter heels and some pink paint.. we had a pastel pink hoover!

Of course we don't think you should really dress in glitter heels and vacuum...because you'd never be done cleaning up all the glitter! Believe us...we know!

This pleated dress is in our holiday wish book sold out but luckily we managed to order a few more into the shop! We've shown this number in the navy version a few times on the blog before. I'll tell you why... it is our favourite frock.. because it is one easy dress to wear.

Comfy and a perfect shade of plum.. makes it one of those GO- TO dresses for the season. We've changed up the look and piled on some new muted glitzy accessories to change up the dress. Have fun with it and add a dash of leopard or pair it with the ultimate jacket like we've shown!

It's comfy, with just the right amount of swing and well...let's not forget with holiday parties around the corner... a girl can look great and enjoy the good eats at the parties! I always take that into consideration...don't you?

Back to the dress... we've add a fun fur in leopard with a 3/4 sleeve and a dash of hot pink with long knit gloves. Easy to wear it with a simple shoe...but we went all out and paired it with the tall over the knee wedge boot.

It's the time of year when we want to bundle up in a perfect cable knit tunic. We have them in a few colours.. and they just seem to be that " Go-To " sweater! We love to wear ours with a skinny jean and little ankle booties. Today we layered it with a jersey slip...with thee cutest pleated detail. Love!

When wearing a classic piece have some fun with your look.... add some print or pattern. In this case we've paired our cable with an adorable leopard lace up oxford!

Yesterday afternoon we had a delightful gathering at Blush.

We had a great group of women who were interested in learning a few extra STYLE TIPS! Of course these women have it all together...fabulous careers, lovely families, busy lifestyles. Believe me they have their style together...but a few little added tips never hurt anyone.

The shop was set up in a pretty little classroom style, with Blushy style tip folders for some eye candy and to take home for future ideas and inspiration for their wardrobe. ( of course in hot pink packages)

We covered quite a few areas in styling, and their own challenges with their everyday wardrobes.

We showed the girls how to wear their blazer from work to after work functions, to taking the kids to the arena.

How to layer pieces, adding belts, where to wear them, even how to mix up your arm candy!
